Luxury Rock Waterfall

Natural rock is the hardest thing on this list to get right, because the moment it looks arranged rather than found, the whole effect goes.

The design

A natural rock waterfall anchors one end of the pool and an elevated spa the other, with an infinity edge carrying the water away on the open side. The three work against each other deliberately: the rock gives the composition weight and noise, the infinity edge takes it away again, and the raised spa sits between them as the still point.

How we build it

Rock is laid course by course to a plan, with the falls dry-fitted and the flow tested before anything is set, because the sound a waterfall makes is a function of how the stone is stacked rather than how much water is pushed over it. The shell, the spa and the edge detail are engineered together in-house and permitted as one submission.

What you are left with

A pool that behaves like a piece of landscape rather than a fixture in a yard, under a lifetime structural warranty on the shell and a three-year manufacturer warranty on the equipment.
